Constitution Day In India


Constitution Day (National Law Day), also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on the 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on the 26th January 1950.

On 19th November 2015, the Government of India declared 26th November as Constitution Day, by a gazette notification. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made the declaration on 11 October 2015 while laying the foundation stone of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai.

World Environment Day - Theme: Air Pollution


As we celebrate World Environment Day this year, we question the status of the quality of the air we breathe.92% of the people worldwide do not breathe clean air.  The theme for 2019 is air pollution, and the host country is China. It is a growing green energy sector and has emerged as a climate leader. The country owns half the world’s electric vehicles and 99 percent of the world’s electric buses. By hosting World Environment Day 2019, the Chinese government will be able to showcase its innovation and progress towards a cleaner environment. India too, has taken steps to reduce air pollution.

This year Desh Apnayen brings activities for schools to be the change and contribute to the worldwide need of combating air pollution. There are four activities given each aiming at inculcating habits for better living

World Population Day


World Population Day is being celebrated since 1987 to focus on the urgency and the importance of population issues and resolving them. Our students are a part of the future growing population, and it is of utmost importance to enlighten them about the ever-increasing population, and its good and bad effects. This year Desh Apnayen brings activities for schools to comprehend and combat the population crisis. There are four activities given each focusing on population explosion and how we could participate in curtailing its effects.

World Environment Day


The Desh Apnayen Day of National Importance for the month of June is ‘World Environment Day’, which falls on the 5th of June. This Environment Day, we are curious to know what our ACTIZENs® think about the theme 'Biodiversity', and how do they intend to protect and preserve the biodiversity through a simple slogan writing activity.
