Let us begin with a simple question. What do we want the kids to take away from the chapter when they step out of the classroom?

We want them to understand that:

Participation is key in any form of Government.
Participation breeds accountability.
Distribution of power is key to achieve a sustainable society
Tools like the RTI are there to help us achieve accountability and sustainability.

Listing these points down is a useful way of orienting the students’ learning and our own preparation.

Three teachers’ handouts laying out unique experiential and concept learning activities.
Two class handouts or notes on various topics.
