Desh Apnayen’s programme has enabled us educators to instil various skills in students to build a better future for them. As an educator and facilitator, I could see drastic changes in their approach towards certain things in society. Children have become agile and dynamic in their attitude. Our association with Desh Apnayen and the Club activities have made our students significantly more sensitive and proactive towards creating change in the society. They have also developed leadership, organisational as well as interpersonal skills.

Desh Apnayen’s efforts have had a lot of impact on my child by making him an alert citizen. Seeing the neighbourhood makeover project that his school did, I can say my child is on the right path.
My daughter Yogini has been taking part in The ACTiZENS’ Club activities for the past four years. She’s also the Club President. These activities have had a good learning outcome and helped her become an active, responsible citizen. I’m glad and proud as a parent.
From Students
Our neighbourhoods have improved thanks to Desh Apnayen’s initiatives. One of the activities that I was part of was about talking to ten people about the elections. In doing so, finally, I felt like a citizen. It feels like I am a completely different person now.
The activity about how bills are passed in Parliament enhanced my leadership and thinking skills. I took charge and presented the bill when our group leader was absent. Before becoming a member of The ACTiZENS’ Club, I would look at the waste around and say our country is full of waste. But now I pick up the waste and try to create awareness. I’ve also learned to accept failures and seek help from others.
